Vancouver Island Society for the Adaptive Snowsports

vi-apadtive programs and Lessons Mount Washington's award winning adaptive skiing program is made up entirely of volunteers and is available every day. Offering programs for both Alpine and Nordic skiing.

The Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports is a non-profit charitable society focused on providing Nationally Certified Snowsports Instruction to the physically or mentally challenged.

We believe that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate and enjoy Alpine/Nordic snowsports.

We are here to help you accent your abilities in a fun and encouraging environment.

Adaptive Snowsport Lessons for Alpine, Nordic and Snowboarding Becoming a Student Member

Student Membership:

  • Open to mentally or physically challenged persons
  • Cost: $45.00 per year

Please note:

At the beginning of each season all returning members and new members must have their Disabled Skiers Association of BC membership card validated for the season. A ski pass will not be issued by Mt Washington until the student's membership card has been signed for the coming year by the Duty Day Supervisor.

As a Student Member you are entitled to:

  • Free rental of skis, snowboards, boots, helmet & poles
  • The use of adaptive and related safety equipment
  • 1/2 price on daily lift passes (courtesy of Mt Washington)
  • National insurance coverage (3rd party liability) as a paid up member of DSABC

A membership card will be mailed to you. With your up to date membership you will then be able to make bookings, buy tickets and enjoy all the benefits of the VISAS.

Membership is payable online with major credit cards or by cheque.
